A Forest Hill home had a retaining wall backing onto a downstairs living space, holding back damp earth in a crawl space lined with old, failed polythene. Goliath Coatings cleared the cavity, hand-dug a trench 1 m wide and 2.5 m deep to expose the wall, ground it back and installed a torch-on bitumen membrane with drainage sheeting and coil to carry water away from the foundation. Inside, we ground the slab and applied three coats of Ardex WPM 300 hydrostatic liquid membrane. The home was left dry and healthy, ready for new carpet the following week. It’s the kind of comprehensive basement, retaining-wall and foundation waterproofing Goliath Coatings delivers across Forest Hill and Auckland.
